Restaurant review — Akara that actually delivered
I'm sceptical of any restaurant claiming to do Akara well, having been disappointed often enough. This one delivered. The deeply umami from fermented ingredients base was authentic and the use of crayfish powder showed real knowledge.
Nigerian cuisine varies between the Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa, and other ethnic culinary traditions. The atmosphere was genuinely a family gathering, which the food matched. palm wine came with the meal as it should. The portions were generous and the price was fair. A reliable place for this dish.
