Honest verdict on Moi Moi — good but not exceptional
Moi Moi here was solidly made — rich and earthy from palm oil without anything to complain about. ogiri fermented seeds was present and handled reasonably. But something was missing from the depth that this dish should have.
Nigerian cuisine varies between the Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa, and other ethnic culinary traditions. The a roadside suya stall at night atmosphere was pleasant enough. palm wine was available and a good suggestion. For a reliable version of Moi Moi this works. For an exceptional one, I'd keep looking. Three stars.
