Decent Fårikål — nothing more, nothing less
Fårikål at this place was fine. The gamey and earthy flavour was there but not distinguished. brown cheese was present in the right quantities but without the care that makes the difference. You can taste when something is being made to a formula.
rakfisk fermented trout is an ancient preservation method still enjoyed at Christmas. The a traditional Norwegian home setting was generic rather than immersive. aquavit was offered but not explained. If you're in the area and want Fårikål it'll do. If you're going out of your way, look elsewhere.
