Honest verdict on Haleem — good but not exceptional

Haleem here was solidly made — warming and hearty without anything to complain about. Kashmiri chilli was present and handled reasonably. But something was missing from the depth that this dish should have.

Pakistani cuisine draws from Mughal court traditions combined with local Punjabi and Sindhi cooking. The a BBQ nihari restaurant at midnight atmosphere was pleasant enough. rooh afza rose syrup drink was available and a good suggestion. For a reliable version of Haleem this works. For an exceptional one, I'd keep looking. Three stars.
