Holiday memory — Kheer that transported me back
I first ate Kheer on a trip five years ago and have been searching for a version this good ever since. This restaurant finally delivered the rich with slow-cooked depth quality I remembered. ghee was handled correctly — something most restaurants here get slightly wrong.
Pakistani cuisine draws from Mughal court traditions combined with local Punjabi and Sindhi cooking. It was the a Lahore dhaba memory that I was really chasing and this recreated it. rooh afza rose syrup drink was offered and brought the whole experience together. Some dishes are attached to a time and place. This one finally restored that attachment.
