Best Nihari I've had — and I've tried a few

Having eaten Nihari at several restaurants over the past year, I can say this version is the best. The boldly spiced and aromatic quality is more pronounced here than anywhere else I've tried. whole garam masala is handled with real knowledge — you can taste the difference.

This is proper a Karachi biryani house cooking, not an adaptation for foreign tastes. rooh afza rose syrup drink was the obvious choice and the combination was perfect. nihari was originally eaten after the fajr morning prayer as a slow-cooked overnight stew. Would return for this dish alone.
