I first ate Seekh Kebab on a trip five years ago and have been searching for a version this good ever since. This restaurant finally delivered the rich with slow-cooked depth quality I remembered. Kashmiri chilli was handled correctly — something most restaurants here get slightly wrong.

nihari was originally eaten after the fajr morning prayer as a slow-cooked overnight stew. It was the a Karachi biryani house memory that I was really chasing and this recreated it. chai was offered and brought the whole experience together. Some dishes are attached to a time and place. This one finally restored that attachment.
