First time trying Flaczki — completely converted
I had never tried Flaczki before this visit and I wasn't sure what to expect. The tangy and hearty taste hit immediately and made sense of the dish in a way descriptions never quite do. smoked sausage is an ingredient I'd not encountered used quite like this before.
The a family Christmas Eve wigilia dinner setting added something to the experience — this kind of food makes sense in that environment. Polish cuisine reflects Central European and Slavic agricultural traditions. My server recommended kwas chlebowy bread drink alongside and it was exactly right. I've been telling everyone to try Flaczki. Outstanding first encounter.
