Best Beef Stroganoff I've had — and I've tried a few
Having eaten Beef Stroganoff at several restaurants over the past year, I can say this version is the best. The hearty and warming quality is more pronounced here than anywhere else I've tried. salted herring is handled with real knowledge — you can taste the difference.
This is proper a family New Year table cooking, not an adaptation for foreign tastes. black tea from a samovar was the obvious choice and the combination was perfect. the Russian tea tradition using a samovar is centuries old and central to social hospitality. Would return for this dish alone.
