Honest verdict on Satay — good but not exceptional

Satay here was solidly made — richly coconut-sweet without anything to complain about. sambal belacan paste was present and handled reasonably. But something was missing from the depth that this dish should have.

Singapore's hawker culture was inscribed as UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2020. The a Michelin-starred hawker stall atmosphere was pleasant enough. teh tarik pulled tea was available and a good suggestion. For a reliable version of Satay this works. For an exceptional one, I'd keep looking. Three stars.
