Honest verdict on Croquetas — good but not exceptional

Croquetas here was solidly made — deeply aromatic without anything to complain about. smoked paprika was present and handled reasonably. But something was missing from the depth that this dish should have.

Spanish eating culture centres on long social meals rather than quick eating. The a Sunday family paella atmosphere was pleasant enough. Rioja red wine was available and a good suggestion. For a reliable version of Croquetas this works. For an exceptional one, I'd keep looking. Three stars.
