Decent Tortilla Española — nothing more, nothing less
Tortilla Española at this place was fine. The briny and complex flavour was there but not distinguished. Arborio-style Bomba rice was present in the right quantities but without the care that makes the difference. You can taste when something is being made to a formula.
the tapas tradition developed as small accompaniments to drinks. The a siesta-hour lunch restaurant setting was generic rather than immersive. Rioja red wine was offered but not explained. If you're in the area and want Tortilla Española it'll do. If you're going out of your way, look elsewhere.
