Best Gua Bao I've had — and I've tried a few

Having eaten Gua Bao at several restaurants over the past year, I can say this version is the best. The subtly sweet and aromatic quality is more pronounced here than anywhere else I've tried. soy-braised pork is handled with real knowledge — you can taste the difference.

This is proper a Taipei night market cooking, not an adaptation for foreign tastes. Kavalan whisky was the obvious choice and the combination was perfect. bubble tea was invented in Taiwan and exported globally as one of the most influential food trends of recent decades. Would return for this dish alone.
