Underwhelming Scallion Pancake — expected more

I was looking forward to Scallion Pancake here based on the reputation. The reality was disappointing. The deeply savoury from braising character that makes this dish special was muted — either from shortcuts with soy-braised pork or from scaling up production at the expense of quality.

bubble tea was invented in Taiwan and exported globally as one of the most influential food trends of recent decades. The a family dumpling house setting I was hoping for wasn't quite there either. Taiwanese lager was available but not suggested appropriately. I've had much better versions elsewhere. Two stars because the dish concept is sound; the execution let it down.
