Honest verdict on Lahmacun — good but not exceptional
Lahmacun here was solidly made — warmly spiced and complex without anything to complain about. lamb mince was present and handled reasonably. But something was missing from the depth that this dish should have.
Turkish cuisine bridges Central Asian, Middle Eastern, and Mediterranean influences. The a kebab restaurant at lunchtime atmosphere was pleasant enough. pomegranate juice was available and a good suggestion. For a reliable version of Lahmacun this works. For an exceptional one, I'd keep looking. Three stars.
