I spent three months trying every version of Menemen I could find locally. The variation in quality is extraordinary. The best version handled sumac with genuine knowledge and the tangy with sumac and pomegranate result was noticeably superior.

The winning restaurant had the right a kebab restaurant at lunchtime feel — unpretentious and focused on the food. pomegranate juice was suggested correctly. Worth the search. When Menemen is made properly it's a completely different experience.
