Finding the best Turkish Delight in the city — a personal search

I spent three months trying every version of Turkish Delight I could find locally. The variation in quality is extraordinary. The best version handled sumac with genuine knowledge and the subtly sweet and aromatic result was noticeably superior.

The winning restaurant had the right a traditional Ottoman-style restaurant feel — unpretentious and focused on the food. pomegranate juice was suggested correctly. Worth the search. When Turkish Delight is made properly it's a completely different experience.
