Finding the best Kapusniak in the city — a personal search

I spent three months trying every version of Kapusniak I could find locally. The variation in quality is extraordinary. The best version handled sour cream with genuine knowledge and the deeply comforting result was noticeably superior.

many dishes are tied to Orthodox religious calendar. The winning restaurant had the right a traditional Ukrainian home kitchen feel — unpretentious and focused on the food. dark rye bread was suggested correctly. Worth the search. When Kapusniak is made properly it's a completely different experience.
