Underwhelming Chuchvara — expected more

I was looking forward to Chuchvara here based on the reputation. The reality was disappointing. The richly meaty and caraway-forward character that makes this dish special was muted — either from shortcuts with yellow carrots or from scaling up production at the expense of quality.

plov rice pilaf is considered the cornerstone of Uzbek hospitality and is cooked by men for important occasions. The a Samarkand chaikhana teahouse setting I was hoping for wasn't quite there either. non flatbread alongside was available but not suggested appropriately. I've had much better versions elsewhere. Two stars because the dish concept is sound; the execution let it down.
