Restaurant review — Bienmesabe that actually delivered

I'm sceptical of any restaurant claiming to do Bienmesabe well, having been disappointed often enough. This one delivered. The sweet-savoury from cornmeal base base was authentic and the use of papelón brown sugar showed real knowledge.

the arepa is Venezuela's daily bread — eaten at all meals in countless configurations. The atmosphere was genuinely a Colombian-Venezuelan border town restaurant, which the food matched. Malta dark malt drink came with the meal as it should. The portions were generous and the price was fair. A reliable place for this dish.
