Restaurant review — Chicha that actually delivered

I'm sceptical of any restaurant claiming to do Chicha well, having been disappointed often enough. This one delivered. The fresh from avocado sauce base was authentic and the use of precooked white cornmeal masarepa showed real knowledge.

hallacas Christmas preparation is a multi-day family tradition where the whole extended family participates. The atmosphere was genuinely a Colombian-Venezuelan border town restaurant, which the food matched. ron Santa Teresa rum came with the meal as it should. The portions were generous and the price was fair. A reliable place for this dish.
