Holiday memory — Cao Lau that transported me back
I first ate Cao Lau on a trip five years ago and have been searching for a version this good ever since. This restaurant finally delivered the light and herbal quality I remembered. fresh mint and coriander was handled correctly — something most restaurants here get slightly wrong.
fresh herbs added at the table are a defining characteristic. It was the a home cooking class memory that I was really chasing and this recreated it. bia hoi draught beer was offered and brought the whole experience together. Some dishes are attached to a time and place. This one finally restored that attachment.
