The first few months with Tillandsia Brachycaulos were underwhelming. Almost no visible growth and I questioned my decision repeatedly. Then something shifted — I think getting shaking off excess water after soaking to prevent rot at the base right was the turning point.

surprisingly tough once watering rhythm is established became apparent once the plant found its stride, and it's genuinely impressive. Displayed in grouped together in a bowl as a centrepiece it gets the attention it deserves. pup production after flowering creating a new clump was the moment it stopped being a project and became a pleasure. One thing to keep on top of: dehydration shown by rolled or curled leaves. Everything else takes care of itself once the basics are solid.
