I've been growing plants seriously for over fifteen years and Tillandsia Brachycaulos remains a reliable favourite. For anyone starting out: the most critical thing is misting more frequently in hot dry indoor conditions. Everything else follows from that.

bleaching and burning from direct summer sun is the challenge that trips up most beginners and some experienced growers too. I've been growing mine in attached to a seashell or stone for a natural arrangement for three seasons now and the results are consistently good. surprisingly tough once watering rhythm is established is what makes it worth coming back to year after year. reduced watering needed in cool winter months indoors is when I show it off — it earns its place fully then.
