The care secret that transformed my Tillandsia Capitata

I'd had Tillandsia Capitata for about eight months with acceptable but unremarkable results. Then I started really paying attention to shaking off excess water after soaking to prevent rot at the base and the difference over the next two months was dramatic.

completely soil-free growth from atmospheric moisture and nutrients became much more pronounced. The plant in grouped together in a bowl as a centrepiece now looks like a completely different specimen. pup production after flowering creating a new clump confirmed that I'd finally unlocked what this plant can do. scale insects or mealybug in the leaf bases has been less of a problem since I got the overall conditions right. If your Tillandsia Capitata is underwhelming, look at shaking off excess water after soaking to prevent rot at the base first.
