Honest review: Tillandsia Capitata is rewarding but dehydration shown by rolled or curled leaves is real

Tillandsia Capitata is a genuinely satisfying plant to grow, but I want to be upfront about one thing: dehydration shown by rolled or curled leaves. I've dealt with it twice now and it takes consistent attention to manage.

Beyond that, extraordinary architectural forms from spiralling to globe-shaped makes it one of my favourites in the collection. I keep it in grouped together in a bowl as a centrepiece which suits it well. Learning about soaking in water for 20 to 30 minutes once or twice a week has been essential. reduced watering needed in cool winter months indoors is worth waiting for — the plant really justifies itself then. Four stars because of that persistent issue.
