Six months with Tillandsia Caput-Medusae — what I actually learned
I brought Tillandsia Caput-Medusae home six months ago with high hopes and almost no knowledge. The first challenge was understanding misting more frequently in hot dry indoor conditions — something I hadn't expected to matter so much. Once I got that right, the whole thing settled down.
I grow it in a glass globe or terrarium with open ventilation and the position has been ideal. surprisingly tough once watering rhythm is established is what keeps drawing me back to it. pup production after flowering creating a new clump was the moment that made me glad I persisted through the learning curve. One honest warning: scale insects or mealybug in the leaf bases caught me off guard in month two. Stay on top of it from the start.
