Container growing Tillandsia Caput-Medusae — a practical guide from experience
I don't have a garden so grouped together in a bowl as a centrepiece is my only option for Tillandsia Caput-Medusae. It absolutely works — with the right attention to providing bright indirect light or outdoor shade in summer you can get excellent results in containers.
extraordinary architectural forms from spiralling to globe-shaped is fully achievable even in a pot. flowering triggered by lengthening days in spring or summer is just as impressive in a container as it would be in the ground, possibly more so because the plant is at closer viewing distance. The main issue to watch in containers: base rot from water not drying within four hours of soaking. Happens faster than in the ground. Highly recommend for balcony and patio gardeners.
