Beginner success with Tillandsia Ionantha — here is what helped
As a complete beginner I was nervous about starting with Tillandsia Ionantha. It turned out to be more forgiving than I expected, as long as I paid attention to providing bright indirect light or outdoor shade in summer.
I grow mine in attached to a seashell or stone for a natural arrangement which is working really well. extraordinary architectural forms from spiralling to globe-shaped was a genuine surprise — I didn't expect it to look or perform like that. reduced watering needed in cool winter months indoors has been the highlight so far. My biggest mistake early on was ignoring dehydration shown by rolled or curled leaves, which I'd recommend addressing immediately.
