Beginner success with Tillandsia Stricta — here is what helped

As a complete beginner I was nervous about starting with Tillandsia Stricta. It turned out to be more forgiving than I expected, as long as I paid attention to misting more frequently in hot dry indoor conditions.

I grow mine in a wire frame or macrame hanging display which is working really well. completely soil-free growth from atmospheric moisture and nutrients was a genuine surprise — I didn't expect it to look or perform like that. pup production after flowering creating a new clump has been the highlight so far. My biggest mistake early on was ignoring dehydration shown by rolled or curled leaves, which I'd recommend addressing immediately.
