The propagation success I didn't expect with Anacharis

I started with one Anacharis and now have four, all from propagation. The process is straightforward once you understand planting in aquatic baskets with specialist pond compost — something I picked up from trial and error rather than any guide.

I display them in a natural wildlife pond with naturalistic marginal planting which shows off essential habitat and breeding ground for pond wildlife at its best. foliage die-back and pond tidying in autumn is when they're most impressive. frost damage on tender varieties left in shallow water has been my main challenge across all of them, but it's manageable now that I know what to look for. A genuinely generous plant if you let it be.
