Slow start but a stunning finish with Anacharis
The first few months with Anacharis were underwhelming. Almost no visible growth and I questioned my decision repeatedly. Then something shifted — I think getting planting in aquatic baskets with specialist pond compost right was the turning point.
extraordinary flower forms rising above or floating on the water became apparent once the plant found its stride, and it's genuinely impressive. Displayed in an indoor water feature with appropriate species it gets the attention it deserves. overwintering dormancy in the pond bed was the moment it stopped being a project and became a pleasure. One thing to keep on top of: blanketweed algae competing for nutrients in established ponds. Everything else takes care of itself once the basics are solid.
