Slow start but a stunning finish with Black Bamboo
The first few months with Black Bamboo were underwhelming. Almost no visible growth and I questioned my decision repeatedly. Then something shifted — I think getting feeding with a high-nitrogen fertiliser in early spring right was the turning point.
rapid establishment and fast vertical growth became apparent once the plant found its stride, and it's genuinely impressive. Displayed in a windbreak planting in an exposed position it gets the attention it deserves. best container division and replanting in spring was the moment it stopped being a project and became a pleasure. One thing to keep on top of: yellowing leaves from drought or nitrogen deficiency. Everything else takes care of itself once the basics are solid.
