Slow start but a stunning finish with Japanese Maple Bonsai

The first few months with Japanese Maple Bonsai were underwhelming. Almost no visible growth and I questioned my decision repeatedly. Then something shifted — I think getting styling with the front and viewing angle in mind from day one right was the turning point.

seasonal change including blossom, foliage colour, and bare winter silhouette became apparent once the plant found its stride, and it's genuinely impressive. Displayed in a seasonal rotation on display when looking its best it gets the attention it deserves. autumn colour on deciduous species before leaf fall was the moment it stopped being a project and became a pleasure. One thing to keep on top of: root bound decline from leaving in the same pot too long. Everything else takes care of itself once the basics are solid.
