Pest battle with Wisteria Bonsai — and how I won

I had a serious problem with over-wiring causing wire bite scarring on branches on my Wisteria Bonsai earlier this year. Caught it late and had to work hard to bring the plant back. The experience was frustrating but educational.

Now that it's healthy again I can fully appreciate living art form that reflects decades of patient cultivation, which is remarkable. I've repositioned it in a purpose-built outdoor bonsai bench with correct height and improved my attention to styling with the front and viewing angle in mind from day one. winter rest with protection from extreme frost for most species was the proof that the plant had fully recovered — genuinely beautiful. Moral of the story: inspect regularly and catch problems early.
