Three things I wish someone had told me before growing Daffodil
After growing Daffodil for over a year here is what I'd tell a beginner.
First: lifting and drying tender bulbs before autumn frosts is not optional — it's the foundation everything else depends on. Second: narcissus fly larvae tunnelling into the base of the bulb will happen and you should know how to handle it before it does. Third: a container for a doorstep or patio display genuinely matters — the right position unlocks increasing clump size year on year when well established in a way a poor position never will. planting new bulbs in autumn for next year's display is the payoff for getting all of this right. It's worth every bit of effort.
