The first few months with Moon Cactus were underwhelming. Almost no visible growth and I questioned my decision repeatedly. Then something shifted — I think getting watering sparingly and only in the active growing season right was the turning point.

remarkable drought tolerance once established became apparent once the plant found its stride, and it's genuinely impressive. Displayed in an outdoor container brought in for winter it gets the attention it deserves. flowering in late spring to early summer was the moment it stopped being a project and became a pleasure. One thing to keep on top of: slow growth frustration for impatient growers. Everything else takes care of itself once the basics are solid.
