Container growing Moon Cactus — a practical guide from experience
I don't have a garden so a grouped desert landscape display is my only option for Moon Cactus. It absolutely works — with the right attention to protecting from frost below -5°C even for hardy varieties you can get excellent results in containers.
remarkable drought tolerance once established is fully achievable even in a pot. offsetting and pup production in spring is just as impressive in a container as it would be in the ground, possibly more so because the plant is at closer viewing distance. The main issue to watch in containers: root rot from any waterlogging in winter. Happens faster than in the ground. Highly recommend for balcony and patio gardeners.
