Saguaro seasonal highlights — a year in review
I've been growing Saguaro for a full year now and want to capture what each season offered. flowering in late spring to early summer was the clear high point — everything you're told about Saguaro at that time of year is true. But the plant has something to offer in every season, which I hadn't expected.
spectacular but brief blooms that can appear overnight is consistent throughout the year, which is one of its real strengths. I've settled on a south-facing windowsill in full sun as the ideal position. using pure mineral grit for drainage in the soil mix was the lesson I took into next year. scarring from cold water splash on the skin is the only thing that interrupted the enjoyment. Otherwise: excellent.
