I've grown several varieties within the Fig Tree family and have some observations to share. harvest of home-grown fruit with exceptional fresh flavour varies noticeably between them, more than catalogue descriptions suggest. The care fundamentals are shared — mulching around the base to retain moisture and suppress weeds applies across all of them.

fireblight bacterial disease affecting pears and apples affects some more than others, particularly in adverse conditions. I grow mine in a specimen tree as a garden focal point which works well for most varieties. harvest from late summer through autumn depending on variety is the clearest moment of differentiation between varieties — that's when the character of each comes through. Worth growing a few side by side if you have the space.
