Beginner success with Mango Tree — here is what helped

As a complete beginner I was nervous about starting with Mango Tree. It turned out to be more forgiving than I expected, as long as I paid attention to thinning fruitlets in early summer to improve individual fruit size.

I grow mine in a fan-trained shape on a warm boundary fence which is working really well. blossom spectacle in spring before any other ornamental value was a genuine surprise — I didn't expect it to look or perform like that. blossom opening in spring requiring frost protection has been the highlight so far. My biggest mistake early on was ignoring late frost damage to blossom in exposed positions, which I'd recommend addressing immediately.
