Container growing Mango Tree — a practical guide from experience
I don't have a garden so a specimen tree as a garden focal point is my only option for Mango Tree. It absolutely works — with the right attention to formative pruning in the first three years to build good structure you can get excellent results in containers.
long productive lifespan of decades with good management is fully achievable even in a pot. fruitlet setting and development through summer is just as impressive in a container as it would be in the ground, possibly more so because the plant is at closer viewing distance. The main issue to watch in containers: codling moth larvae in fruit at harvest. Happens faster than in the ground. Highly recommend for balcony and patio gardeners.
