Three things I wish someone had told me before growing Peach Tree

After growing Peach Tree for over a year here is what I'd tell a beginner.

First: thinning fruitlets in early summer to improve individual fruit size is not optional — it's the foundation everything else depends on. Second: codling moth larvae in fruit at harvest will happen and you should know how to handle it before it does. Third: a large half-barrel container on a sunny patio genuinely matters — the right position unlocks long productive lifespan of decades with good management in a way a poor position never will. harvest from late summer through autumn depending on variety is the payoff for getting all of this right. It's worth every bit of effort.
