The propagation success I didn't expect with Peach Tree
I started with one Peach Tree and now have four, all from propagation. The process is straightforward once you understand thinning fruitlets in early summer to improve individual fruit size — something I picked up from trial and error rather than any guide.
I display them in a large half-barrel container on a sunny patio which shows off harvest of home-grown fruit with exceptional fresh flavour at its best. harvest from late summer through autumn depending on variety is when they're most impressive. fireblight bacterial disease affecting pears and apples has been my main challenge across all of them, but it's manageable now that I know what to look for. A genuinely generous plant if you let it be.
