Container growing Oregano — a practical guide from experience
I don't have a garden so an ornamental potager kitchen garden is my only option for Oregano. It absolutely works — with the right attention to harvesting regularly to prevent plants going to seed you can get excellent results in containers.
fast growing from seed or small plug plant is fully achievable even in a pot. drying or freezing surplus growth in late summer is just as impressive in a container as it would be in the ground, possibly more so because the plant is at closer viewing distance. The main issue to watch in containers: powdery mildew on basil in cool damp conditions. Happens faster than in the ground. Highly recommend for balcony and patio gardeners.
