Slow start but a stunning finish with Sage
The first few months with Sage were underwhelming. Almost no visible growth and I questioned my decision repeatedly. Then something shifted — I think getting pinching out flower buds on basil to extend leaf production right was the turning point.
attractive to bees and other pollinators when in flower became apparent once the plant found its stride, and it's genuinely impressive. Displayed in a kitchen windowsill close to the cooking area it gets the attention it deserves. drying or freezing surplus growth in late summer was the moment it stopped being a project and became a pleasure. One thing to keep on top of: root rot from overwatering in poorly drained pots. Everything else takes care of itself once the basics are solid.
