Here are my notes from twelve months of growing Thyme:

Spring: peak harvest productivity through summer. This was the moment that confirmed the whole venture. I focused on harvesting regularly to prevent plants going to seed during this period which set up the rest of the year.

aromatic foliage that intensifies in heat developed steadily through the warmer months. root rot from overwatering in poorly drained pots appeared in summer and required prompt treatment. The plant in a terracotta pot collection on a sunny patio performed better than I'd expected for the position. Overall: a rewarding year. The investment of attention is paid back generously.
