Six months with Monstera Adansonii — what I actually learned
I brought Monstera Adansonii home six months ago with high hopes and almost no knowledge. The first challenge was understanding repotting only when roots are visibly emerging from the drainage holes — something I hadn't expected to matter so much. Once I got that right, the whole thing settled down.
I grow it in a plant shelf or bookcase as a green interior feature and the position has been ideal. wide range of forms, textures, and light requirements is what keeps drawing me back to it. slowing down in autumn as light levels drop was the moment that made me glad I persisted through the learning curve. One honest warning: brown leaf tips from low humidity or fluoride in tap water caught me off guard in month two. Stay on top of it from the start.
