The unexpected joy of growing Monstera Adansonii
I planted Monstera Adansonii without expecting much and it's become one of the most satisfying things in my garden. straightforward propagation by division, cuttings, or offsets is something I couldn't have predicted from looking at it in a nursery. You only understand it once the plant is established and performing.
I keep it in a hanging planter for trailing varieties which is perfect for it. wiping dusty leaves with a damp cloth to improve light absorption was the thing I got lucky getting right early. slowing down in autumn as light levels drop stopped me in my tracks the first time I saw it. overwatering causing yellowing leaves and root rot is a real thing — just check regularly and deal with it quickly.
