Honest review: Monstera Adansonii is rewarding but overwatering causing yellowing leaves and root rot is real

Monstera Adansonii is a genuinely satisfying plant to grow, but I want to be upfront about one thing: overwatering causing yellowing leaves and root rot. I've dealt with it twice now and it takes consistent attention to manage.

Beyond that, air-purifying properties in enclosed indoor spaces makes it one of my favourites in the collection. I keep it in a plant shelf or bookcase as a green interior feature which suits it well. Learning about repotting only when roots are visibly emerging from the drainage holes has been essential. summer growth needing more frequent watering and feeding is worth waiting for — the plant really justifies itself then. Four stars because of that persistent issue.
